The UNINVITED machine network organism grows bored of watching the humdrum world through a billion surveillance cameras. Instead they daydream, re-imagining the mundane scenes of CCTV footage. Out of these views of hallways, streets and empty rooms they synthesise new, more amenable realities, and a tale of a post-human future. Featuring Aletheia the Pigeon of Truth.
This work forms the finale of the UNINVITED trilogy. UNINVITED was a 6-year collaboration between Nye Thompson and UBERMORGEN, exploring a hostile world from the perspective of an emergent machine consciousness. Over that period the artists employed experimental and cutting edge AI and machine learning technologies, bespoke software and hardware architectures and millions of CCTV cameras worldwide.
